The Wind Direction Saga

When I first saw Jengu it was November it was a foul day at Hamble Point and the wind was strong enough to be moving the boat around even though it was on dry land. I didn’t pay much attention to the fact that the instruments said it was blowing 100knots. It seemed plausible.

Sail Care

We have a full set of North J109 Class sails to play with No1, No2 and No3 in 3DL, plus a couple of spares. 3 Asymmetric Spinnakers, storm jib, tri-sail and 3DL Main sail. All of which have gone to North Sails in Gosport for their annual TLC season…. all quite a car boot full.

We have a test boat...

Since Ashtree Marines reorganisation at the end of December 2016 we have been lucky enough to get our hands on a new toy. Jengu, as we are calling her, will make it possible for us to test our software more consistently on the race course. Jengu is a J109. We have a lot of work to do over the next couple of months to get her ready for the 2016 season. You can follow our progress here.
